St. John Cathedral wedding in Lafayette with Erin and Alex

St John Cathedral wedding in Lafayette

Although they lived their lives so close to each other, Erin and Alex’s love story didn’t begin until moving far away.

Erin said:
“We’ve grown up down the road from each other our whole lives but never really KNEW each other. Had mutual friends and went to rival high schools and always “liked” each others photos on social media.. We both secretly had the hots for each other haha. It took us both to move to 2 hours away from home to Baton Rouge to finally start our relationship and its been wedding bells and googly eyes ever since.

He proposed by taking me to New Orleans for the weekend for HIS birthday! We had a nice dinner the night before and had drinks on Bourbon to celebrate his birthday and the next morning we woke up early to go to “mass” at the St. Louis Cathedral but little did I know that he had no intentions of going to mass.. instead he had hired a photographer to act like a random guy taking pictures of couples and of course.. Being the stubborn girl I am, I pitched a fit cause I just KNEW he was going to want us to pay for the pictures he was going to take and also we were “late” for mass. Well after him INSISTING we take a picture.. the photographer had us positioned perfectly and the next thing I knew he was on one knee asking me to spend forever with him. He did so well and now we have the cutest pictures to remember the proposal. He did so well!”
